Celebrating Teamwork with Gentle Dental’s Region 11

It is always nice to hear about stories from the field – stories about teamwork and great collaboration.

Here’s a story from Gentle Dental and Orthodontics Area Vice President Judy Dunbar:

“This is a photo of Region 11 at our December Office Manager meeting, prior to going to our Christmas Celebration at Pala Casino in Pala, CA. (near Temecula). We went there because they have “all you can eat lobster” each Tuesday.

Gentle Dental and Orthodontics

Oh my, you should have seen how much lobster all of us had! It was amazing food, lobster, shrimp, all kinds of seafood, chocolate fountains, banana splits, fresh crepes, lobster ravioli, shrimp cocktail, prime rib, steak. It was an amazing feast. I have never had so much lobster in my life! Dr. Sohrab told us about this place. We had a great time. We had a Secret Santa gift exchange, which was lots of fun.

Region 11 Office Managers have worked so hard all year. They deserved this little Christmas get away and celebration. Region11 is  special team. We all work together helping each other. We are one Team reaching for a common goal.

I should have gotten a pix of all of the lobsters on everyone’s plates! LOL.”

Happy New Year! — Judy

“I knew school dentistry, but not real world dentistry. Gentle Dental made it an easy transition and helped me focus solely on dentistry and I became a faster, more confident clinician.”

Dr. Chelsea Mortell

“When I began practicing dentistry I started out in a private practice as an Associate. From dealing with staff issues, to unpredictable patient flow, to making sure the money was collected, the business side of it was a distraction from focusing on myself and my skills. At Gentle Dental, all of that is taken care of for me, and I’m a better dentist because of it.”

Spotlight on Gentle Dental Corona: Serving Those Who Serve

It is always rewarding to find out that your job is making a difference in someone’s life. In the dental industry, it may seem obvious – of course dental professionals make an impact in their patients’ lives! But there are stories that stand out, when people go above and beyond what is required  like this one shared by Sandy Vazquez, Call Center Manager.

According to Sandy: “On Friday evening, we received a call from a US Air Force Reserve First Sergeant located in Moreno Valley. The gentleman called our office asking for help – he needed to schedule 20 new patient appointments for Saturday at 1120a.m. This of course was the next day.

There was a sense of urgency in his tone. He said that without a dental exam this group of men and women would not be able to deploy. Initially the First Sergeant made it very clear they could not travel far. After speaking with him I told him we had full schedules but I would make arrangements to make it work. So I placed a couple of calls and Blanca (OM) from the Corona office was willing to see as many troops as they sent us. Once I had the okay, I called the First Sergeant back and began to coordinate.”

As a result, the Gental Dental office in Corona  saw 20 new patients, all of whom received x-rays, a comprehensive exam and a prophylaxis.

When Sandy called the first sergeant back,  he was very appreciative and pleased with Gentle Dental’s services. Sandy said: “Our office went above and beyond anyone’s expectations. The first sergeant briefly mentioned he had to contact another unit on base to get a bus and a certified driver to transport all the troops to our office. He also had an exam, although he was not due for a checkup but he wanted to experience first-hand what the troops were experiencing. If all went well he would make sure this office received recognition. The hot topic on base throughout the weekend was there is a dental office who supports the troops. Because they’re so appreciative of the hard work that took place over the weekend. The commander and First Sergeant will be stopping by the office when they have a moment and present the office staff with a plaque.”

Congratulations and thank you to Dr. Singh, Blanca (office manager), and the front and back office staff of Gentle Dental Corona. And thank you to Sandy for sharing this story of excellent patient-first customer service.
